Terms and Conditions for the Annual Energy Reward

  1. The SSE Rugby “Annual Energy Reward” is open to all UK residents who are connected to an RFU (Rugby Football Union) affiliated Rugby Club – fans, members, players, coaches, family and friends. Employees and agencies of SSE (Scottish and Southern Energy PLC) its group companies and their family members may enter the reward if registered to the website and associated (as above) to an RFU affiliated rugby club.
  2. SSE Rugby Annual Energy Reward is open for completion at www.sserugby.com from 7th February.
  3. SSE Rugby Annual Energy Reward competition will close at midnight on Sunday 24th June 2012. Information included with the competition entry is not returnable.  Any entries received after the closing date will not be eligible to receive the incentives offered in return for completion.
  4. No purchase necessary – entrants will be automatically entered in to the Annual Energy Reward prize draw once they have completed the registration process at www.sserugby.com. Your Rugby Club must be affiliated to the RFU. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry at its complete discretion.
  5. A shortlist of ten entries will be picked at random by an independent adjudicator on Monday 25th June and will be asked to provide 150 words as to why it should win the reward. The selected shortlist will be presented to a judging panel who will select the final (one) winning club. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry at its complete discretion. The winning club will be notified by email or telephone no later than Monday 2nd July 2012. When the winning club is contacted a member of the committee must confirm whether the club wishes to claim the prize. If the winning club does not do so or cannot be contacted by phone or email by Thursday 5th July 2012 after reasonable efforts have been made by the Promoter, the winning club will forfeit their prize and the Promoter will select another winning club. 
  6. The annual reward consists of two options dependent on the winning clubs energy commitments already in place;

    Option 1 –  If the winning club has an energy supply contract with SSE with more than 12 months remaining before expiry, that club shall win an energy credit to the value of ten thousand pounds (£10,000.00), plus an energy survey.

    Option 2 – If the winning club has an energy supply contract with SSE with less than 12 months remaining before expiry, OR the club is tied to a competitor contract, an energy survey will be offered by SSE and up to eight thousand pounds (£8,000.00) to be put towards improvements based on the survey. The energy survey will be delivered to the winning club on a day agreed by all parties. Exact times to be confirmed and agreed by all parties.

    In the event the winning club is entitled to the Option 1 prize, and their energy supply contract is terminated for any reason before expiration of the contract, the Club shall forfeit any unused balance of the prize (at the date of termination) and refund this unused balance to the Promoter.
  7. Once the winning club has confirmed that they wish to claim the prize, the Promoter will liaise with a member of the winning club committee to discuss the delivery of the reward.
  8. The prize is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. No part or parts of the prize may be substituted for other benefits, items or additions.
  9. The winning club’s name and address can be found by sending a self addressed envelope to Synergy, 60 Great Portland Street, London, W1W 7RT after Thursday 5th July 2012. No other correspondence will be entered into concerning the result and the Promoter’s decision is final. 
  10. The winning club and members will be required to participate in publicity.
  11. The Promoter reserves the right to alter, amend or terminate the promotion without prior notice, provided that the Promoter shall not exercise this right unreasonably.  The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for something of equal or greater value without notice.
  12. The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw or cancel the promotion at any stage.
  13. The Promoter holds no liability for lost entries. The Promoter and their agents accept no responsibility for difficulties experienced in submitting an entry to this competition, including any technical, hardware or software failures of any kind or lost or unavailable network connections which may limit or prohibit an eligible entrant’s ability to participate in the competition.The Promoter reserves the right to exclude any entries which they believe to be fraudulent or based on misconduct, or include any behaviour / language which is deemed to be unsuitable. This is at the discretion of SSE and its agencies. 
  14. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter shall not be liable for any loss and/or personal injury suffered by the winner or any individual chosen to participate at the winning clubs in the prize as a result of their participation in the competition.
  15. By entering this prize draw, entrants agree to the personal data they supply being used by the Promoter to administer the promotion.
  16. Entrants are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions by participating in this promotion.
  17. This promotion and these terms are governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

Terms and Conditions for the Level One Coaching Reward

  1. The SSE Rugby Level One Coaching reward is open to all UK residents who are connected to an RFU (Rugby Football Union) affiliated Rugby Club – fans, members, players, coaches, family and friends etc. Employees and agencies of SSE (Scottish and Southern Energy PLC) its group companies and their family members, may enter the rewards if associated to an RFU affiliated rugby club, and they will be eligible for the rewards and incentives associated. 
  2. SSE Rugby Level One Coaching reward will be open for nominations from 7th February 2012. There will be a total of 75 Level One Coaching qualifications paid for as part of the reward. This is broken down to 18 in each of the 4 RFU regions with an additional 3 to be allocated at the sole discretion of the Promoter.
  3. SSE Rugby Level One Coaching reward will be run in two waves. To be eligible for the first wave applications must be received by midnight on 31st March 2012. To be eligible for the second wave applications must be received by midnight on 31st May 2012. Information included with the competition entry is not returnable.  Any nominations received after 31st May 2012 will not be eligible for the reward.
  4. No purchase necessary – nominations to receive the Level One Coaching reward will be made by your local Community Rugby Coach (CRC) or Club Coaching Coordinator (CCC). Nominees must be a member of a Rugby Club affiliated to the RFU. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry at its complete discretion.
  5. Club Player Development Officers (CPDOs) will pass on the selections to the Regional Development Officers (RDOs) who will make the final selection. CRCs and CCS will be informed of successful nominations within two weeks of the application deadline. Selection of participants is at the discretion of the RFU and will be made on a case by case basis. The RFU will assist in placing participants on accredited courses in their area.
  6. The winners will be notified by email or telephone by their CRC or CCC. If the winner cannot be contacted by phone or email within 7 days of the CRC or CCC being notified and after reasonable efforts have been made, the winner will forfeit their reward and the Regional Management Team will select another winner. 
  7. All associated travel and expenses and all other incidentals associated with the reward will be the responsibility of the winners to arrange and not down to the responsibility of the Promoter.
  8. The reward is the opportunity to take part in the Level One Coaching course, not the qualification itself. The course is subject to availability and the participant must agree and abide by any rules or terms and conditions of the course.
  9. The prize is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. No part or parts of the prize may be substituted for other benefits, items or additions.

Terms and Conditions for the Watch England Train reward

  1. The SSE Rugby Watch England Train reward is open to all UK residents who are connected to an RFU (Rugby Football Union) affiliated Rugby Club – fans, members, players, coaches, family and friends etc. Employees and agencies of SSE (SSE PLC) its group companies and their family members, may enter the rewards if associated to an RFU affiliated rugby club, and they will be eligible for the rewards and incentives associated. 
  2. SSE Rugby Watch England Train reward is open for completion at www.sserugby.com from 11th May 2012.
  3. SSE Rugby Watch England Train reward will close at midnight on Wednesday 23rd May 2012. Information included with the competition entry is not returnable.  Any entries received after the closing date will not be eligible to receive the incentives offered in return for completion.
  4. No purchase necessary – entrants must enter via the competition mechanic at www.sserugby.com. Your Rugby Club must be affiliated to the RFU. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry at its complete discretion.
  5. Three (3) winners will be drawn at random by an independent adjudicator on Thursday 24th May 2012. 
  6. The winners will be notified by email or telephone no later than Thursday 24th May 2012. When the winners are contacted he/she must confirm whether he/she wishes to claim the prize. If a winner does not do so or cannot be contacted by phone or email by Friday 25th May 2012 after reasonable efforts have been made by the Promoter, such winner will forfeit their prize and the Promoter will select another winner. 
  7. The Watch England Train reward consists of each winner and one (1) guest attending the England training session in the week commencing 28th May 2012. Each winner and their guest will also receive a ticket each for the England v The Barbarians game on 27th May 2012 at the Twickenham Stadium. The day will be run by the Rugby Football Union (RFU).
  8. Transport to and from the venue and all other incidentals associated with the event will be the responsibility of the winners and guests to arrange and not down to the responsibility of the Promoter.
  9. Once the winner has confirmed that he/she is available on the above date and wishes to claim the prize, the Promoter will liaise with the winner to determine the final details. 
  10. The prize is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. No part or parts of the prize may be substituted for other benefits, items or additions. The tickets must not be resold otherwise the winner will forfeit their entire prize.
  11. The winner's name can be found by sending a self addressed envelope to Synergy, 60 Great Portland Street, London, W1W 7RT after Thursday 24th May 2012. No other correspondence will be entered into concerning the result and the Promoter’s decision is final.
